The Ronald W. Walters Leadership and Public Policy Center provides research, consultations, training, and produces public events in areas involving the engagement of African Americans in the U.S. political process. The Center is interdisciplinary and continues the scholarship and activism Dr. Walters, who research and mentorship informed generations of students and political leaders.
Dr. Walters provided strategic direction and thinking in the political and civic arenas and was a prolific writer and political commentator. Dr. Walters served on the political science faculty at Howard for 26 years.
